Storage requirements for processor sharing systems

Kelly (1985) considered n communication channels sharing a common buffer area, where each channel is modelled as a M/G/1 queue. He derived various results and approximations that can be of use when communication channels, leading from a node in a network, share a common buffer area. In the paper the authors extend this work on buffer size estimation by examining the problem of predicting the total storage requirements of a multi-server processor sharing system
