A graphical tool for visualising the performance of a X.25 packetised communication line

Summarises the development of a graphical monitoring tool, XScope, for visualising the performance of X.25 packet switched communications lines. XScope is essentially a protocol analyser, but it adopts a graphical approach rather than the common textual display. The graphical interface also provides the user with an instant overview of the overall performance of the protocols, providing additional information, for example the cause of a loss in throughput or an increase in transit delay
