  • Abstract
    An IMPATT diode was integrated with a microstrip patch antenna. The measured frequency of oscillation was 32.3 GHz. The effective radiated power was 1.3 W, and the output CW power was 300 mW. The DC-to-RF conversion efficiency was 4.4%. Injection locking was also demonstrated. The locking bandwidth was 50 MHz when the injection gain was 25 dB.<>
