Abstract :
The multifractal is a suitable method for analyze the irregularity and self-similarity of metallogenic elementary grade distribution. Taking the soil survey data along multiple exploration lines in the Shangzhuang gold deposit, Shandong province, China, as the object, using the generalized dimension and multifractal spectrum, the inhomogeneity and heterogeneity distributions of different mineralization element are appraised and their indication for concealed orebody are discussed. The generalized spectrum (Dq-q) is sharper and the width off (a) of element Au is wider than that of the element Ag-Zn-Pb-Cu. The spectrums differences represent more heterogeneous and inhomogeneity distribution of Au in the soil than the other elements, suggesting the gold distribution in the rock is with significant nugget effect and only the Au can precisely locate the concealed orebody.
