Abstract :
The following topics were dealt with: intelligent tutorial systems for: provision of explanations, on-the-job learning, air traffic control training, procedural skills and for modelling user beliefs about Unix; an explanation driven, understanding-directed user model for ITSs; intelligent courseware implementation with expert system tools; physics simulations construction with ARK; hierarchical abstractions in an electronics teaching system; and student modelling in an ITS for fact finding. Abstracts of individual papers can be found under the relevant classification codes in this or other issues
