Abstract
The authors have demonstrated that the experimental frequency of a semi-insulator Bragg filter can be predicted quite accurately at 150 GHz and have indicated the dimensions of such a filter, together with the simplicity of the fabrication. The filter structure is a length of corrugated dielectric image line waveguide and is made in gallium arsenide (100) wafers 50 mm in diameter and 340 μm thick. The integration of shorter filters with diodes, and maybe the gates of FETs, would seem worth investigating for the design of monolithic oscillators
