Abstract

Contains a brief introduction to the need for voice and data service integration, and the role played by the PBX in providing such an integrated facility in the local office environment. A description of a proposed integrated network, of which a prototype version has already been designed and built then follows, accompanied by a short discussion on the salient features which enable it to overcome some of the shortcomings associated with more traditional networks
