Abstract :
It has been the important method to monitor oil spill at sea based on satellite remote sensing. This paper applies spectrum analysis and image processing method to extract the information about oil spilling form vessels at sea. By testing and analyzing spectroscopic characters of each oil spill at sea, and applying image processing method to find out the best combinations of satellite channels and enhance transacting modes for the different thickness of the oil slick, the satellite image were proceeded to obtain the oil-spilling information at sea. Finally, factual case analysis validates that the extraction method of oil-spilling information is practicable.
