Abstract :
In this study, the supplier selection with uncertain interval information is modeled as a multiple attribute decision making problem. A new approach is proposed for the problem. Firstly, the interval decision matrix is transformed into a definite one based on max-entropy theory. Secondly, based on the obtained definite decision matrix, the attribute weights are determined by maximizing the entropy. Thirdly, the overall values of alternatives across the attributes are calculated and the rankings of them are thus obtained. The selection of the air-conditioning system suppliers is presented as an illustrative example.
