Abstract
The authors describe a step-down rectifier for the provision of a stable and well regulated DC bus to supply the high-power, low-distortion amplifiers used in vibration test equipment. The voltage required is below the peak of the line-voltage of the three-phase supply. Low EMI from the rectifier is essential because of the sensitive measurement and control equipment used during vibration testing. The authors discuss both open loop and closed loop operation
