To concern and strengthen the mental health education of college students in modern times is of great social significance, and improving the students\´ personality plays an important part. This article begins from the "self-concept" -the core of personality -to explore the colorful theories about personality contained in Chinese traditional culture. Particularly the point lies in the unique and transcendent perspective of the "self" view-"no-self"view , from which the theories and ideas full of profound meaning and modern value are extracted, in order to provide inspiration and guidance to current mental health education of college students.
