Abstract
The DECT Standard defines a set of physical and protocol specifications from which digital cordless telecommunications equipment may be developed. Its four-layer protocol stack is illustrated and basic technical characteristics which relate primarily to the physical layer are tabulated. The TDMA frame and full timeslot are presented and discussed
