Abstract
The changing needs of todays information orientated society has led to a substantial increase in the amount of microprocessor technology in modern buildings and offices. Today´s power distribution system designers echo the need for more advanced and flexible features of coordinated protection which can only be found in microprocessor based protective devices. The objective of this paper is to explain how traditional moulded case circuit breakers (MCCB) with integral microprocessors meet this requirements
