Abstract
The authors present a current differential relay for a power transformer based on the flux-current relationship of the transformer. The relay requires the primary voltages and the primary and secondary currents. It was implemented on a GESPAC 68000 microprocessor. Some operations are carried out by operational amplifiers. The relay principle has been tested in the laboratory on a 8 kVA 380 V/220 V single-phase transformer
