Empirical analysis of the performance evaluation of supplier selection in eco-enterprises

In today´s global and ecological business environment, supplier selection has increasingly been regarded as one of the most important strategies of eco enterprises to obtain competitive advantage. This paper is aimed to present a model to evaluate the performance of buyer-supplier relationship between the eco enterprises and its supplier by applying the analytic network process. Firstly, the analysis of multiple factors that affect the success of the buyer-supplier relationship of eco manufactures is offered and a control network for the problem is constructed. Then the priorities of the strategic criterions and the importance of benefits, opportunities, costs and risks to each strategic criterion are determined. Finally, a performance ranking of the buyer-supplier forms is given, and the results shall provide guidance to select the most appropriate form of relationship between eco manufactures and its supplier. With the proposed model, eco enterprises can evaluate and select the most suitable supplier for cooperation. The model is illustrated by an example of a pharmaceutical enterprise. In addition,it can be modified and applied by enterprises in various industries for supplier selection.
