Abstract :
A new method for electromagnetic simulation (EMS) of uniplanar MMICs (UMMICs) is proposed. By introducing an equivalent imaginary strip, the CPW is transformed into a twin lead transmission line. A closed form expression of the effective distance is obtained. The Moments Method (MM) is applied to simulate the characteristic of the circuits. A good agreement with the existing data show that the method is simple, accurate, and very suitable to the EMS of UMMICs
