Abstract
A comparative study of six different co-channel interference models is presented. Three geographical models and three statistical models are studied. In comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each model, the most appropriate model is recommended to establish the relationship between the protection ratio of a modulation technique and the number of cells per cluster needed in a cellular system in order to maintain a given voice quality. Hence, the spectral efficiency can be evaluated
