  • Abstract
    Antennas with circular polarisation are widely employed in satellite communications (TT&C antennas, direct broadcast TV etc). The waveguide polarizer is the device which provides the required circular polarization in these antennas. A corrugated structure composed by rectangular and circular waveguide sections has been recently proposed for broadband applications, and it is used to design dual band polarizers with input and output circular waveguides. An important advantage of this structure is that it can be easily analyzed in a fullwave mode and, therefore efficient computer-aided analysis and design methods can be implemented
