Abstract
Computer modelling of a parasitically-driven normal-mode helical antenna is reported. This structure is particularly suitable for realisation with superconductor, but attempts to model it using standard method-of-moments techniques are very prone to instability. A new moment-method program was written using polynomial basis functions and selective use of the exact thin-wire kernel. This gave stable results even in the region of very sharp resonance
