Abstract
A current state of an Operation Support System (OSS) is very important for realizing an advanced integrated operation support in network management and operation business using OSSs. Appropriate recognition of a current state allows improvement of business operation efficiency and security. In practical deployment environments, each OSS is implemented by each set of technologies, and those implementation technologies are widely diverse among OSSs. Thus, developing and maintaining a full line of state recognition methods adapted to all technologies used for OSSs are hard to accomplish. Therefore, we are studying a method for obtaining state information independent of OSS implementation technologies. Our method captures an OSS client screen as an image and recognizes the OSS state from the image. In this paper, we describe the detail of our state recognition method and the result of an experiment based on our prototype implementing almost whole functions.
