  • Abstract
    The authors present a new, low-cost fault location process for the configuration of protection equipment in MV power systems. On the basis of theoretical fundamentals, the authors first present simulation results, then go on to describe their implementation in a substation control system. Evidence is presented to show that this process is fundamentally capable of functioning effectively: this evidence takes the form of results from short-circuit experiments performed on single-pole faults in a 10 kV system
