Abstract
We propose an optimization method for cost-effective dimensioning of optical transport networks with multiple line rate capabilities and heterogeneous Ethernet service demands, while accounting for transceiver and regenerator expenditures, traffic grooming and inverse-multiplexing techniques, and fibre wavelength count limit.
