  • Abstract
MADPET-II is a small animal PET scanner for radiopharmaceutical studies. The aim of this work is to compare different schemes for sorting the singles and to evaluate them in terms of the quality of the reconstructed images. A system matrix has been built for the different sorting schemes using GATE (Geant4 application for emission tomography). For the correction of the random coincidences, the delayed window (DW) method and the singles rate (SR) method have been implemented to estimate the accidental coincidences. Related to normalization, we plan to study the feasibility of using singles measurements for estimating the efficiency factors.
