Abstract
An algorithm including space-charge effects in two-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method has been developed. Maxwell´s equations, combined with three nonlinear equations that describe the movement of electron beams, are solved by the extended FDTD method. The algorithm is verified by test cases with good accuracy. The technique is useful for analyzing many practical devices
