  • Abstract
    Three provisioning schemes are proposed to effectively establish lightpath requests in multi bit-rate transparent networks affected by XPM. The scheme exploiting a novel GMPLS extension, by limiting the use of worst-case penalties, significantly improves the overall blocking performance.
