Abstract :
The destructive physicochemical processes of electrolysis and degradation of electroconductivity in optical media of the smectic A liquid crystal displays (LCDs) are studied. The causes and mechanism of processes are discussed. The received results are important both for the driving optimisation and for increase of field controlled light scattering LCD reliability
