  • Abstract
    Multi-carrier superchannels based on coherent optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CO-OFDM) supporting 400-Gb/s and 1-Tb/s data rates at high spectral efficiencies are reviewed. The generation and detection of such superchannels and their transmission and routing performances are elaborated.
