Travel mode choice behavior of taxi passengers

The research on taxi passengers´ traffic mode choice behavior plays an important role in exploring taxi passengers´ travel demand and offering drivers and vehicles accordingly. This study simulates the process of taxi passengers´ traffic mode choice which is based on the various influential factors. First, the research develops the traffic mode choice model based on the disaggregate method. Second, it estimates parameters applying with the household interview survey data. Finally, according to factor regression results, it analyzes the factors affecting taxi passengers´ traffic mode choice, for example, personal attributes, vehicle holdings, and travel motive of the taxi passengers.
