Abstract
In this paper, a macro-model for liquid crystal cells including electrical and optical behaviors is presented. This kind of model is feasible due to the high potential of VerilogA in mixed technology modeling. Subsequently, to realize higher performance, ADMS model compiler is used to generate C code for implementation through Spectrereg´s compact model interface (CMI). This macro-model enables the optimum design of liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
