Abstract :
A rigorous solution of the vertical electric dipole field diffraction by a thin perfectly conducting prolate spheroidal shell having a circular arbitrary-size hole has been obtained by the author before. Based on this solution, the radiation characteristics of surface non-closed spheroidal antennas has been studied, such as radiation resistance and radiation patterns.
