Abstract :
The radiation characteristic of a rectangular dielectric resonator antenna on a finite ground plane is considered. An integral equation approach in conjunction with the equivalence principle has been used in which the conductor plane and the dielectric resonator are replaced by the surface electric currents and volume polarization currents, respectively. The resonance characteristic of the dielectric resonator antenna is studied with different size of ground plane.
