Abstract :
Peer-to-peer (P2P) networks offer scalability through the collaborative sharing of storage and bandwidth resources among the peers. To support corporate applications, P2P networks have to be enhanced to offer certain service guarantees. We consider a domain-to-domain (D2D) network in which domains cooperate to offer a given service with resources reservation. We consider its network architecture and propose load balancing algorithms to meet the external service commitments. We show that, by defining a resource boundary variable, r, a committed service through load balancing among peers within a domain can be achieved.
