Abstract
Wireless access is an alternative means to implement access to an operator´s network. In this context wireless local loop (WLL) means typically use of wireless methods for implementation of traditional public telecom operator (PTO) local loops, i.e. using radio access and frequency spectrum as a conduit instead of for example copper or fiber. Traditionally, point to multipoint radio can be considered as an example of WLL. The author discusses the suitability of wireless local loop to the changing telecommunication environment and its potential as a new access instrument
