Abstract :
A precision moment method which employs complete sets of basis and testing functions and analytical integration for the matrix entries is formulated for the analysis of a 4-port rectangular waveguide orthomode transducer having a metallic septum and a pair of branch waveguides. Numerical results for two different implementations of the method are presented and shown to agree very well with each other. The proposed method avoids special derivation of the Green´s function for the problem through a proper choice of basis functions.
