  • Abstract
The Center Of Excellence (COE) program of Hyper Human Technologies has started with two seed technologies at Hiroshima University: One is the high speed vision with the frame rate of 1kHz and the other one is the high speed actuation with a maximum acceleration of 100G, where G is the gravitational acceleration. We are going to explore the field using two different approaches: One is to pursue a further progress in each fundamental technology and to apply various fields, such as robotics, bio-mining, circuit diagnosis, and human health care. It should be noted that we have recently succeeded in developing the high speed vision with the frame rate of 10kHz. The other is to combine the knowledge in the fields of high speed vision and high speed actuation to develop a high speed dynamic sensing system, and apply it to both robotics and biomedical engineering. As an example, we could develop a sensor system which can obtain eye stiffness of human eye within 40msec. Recent results will be shown with video tape demonstration.
