The EMC directive-will it lead to compatible installations?

The author aims to answer six questions about electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): (1) what is it?; (2) why are we interested?; (3) what are the legal requirements?; (4) how do we comply?; (5) what guidance is available?; and (6) what is the electrical contractors´ association doing to help? Conclusions are drawn as to whether the EMC Directive will naturally lead to compatible installations or whether some additional guidance is required
