DXPM wavelength-converters are analyzed via simulations to quantify sensitivity to device parameters. 0.2 rad phase-drift causes 3-dB power-penalty. Optimal operating conditions are shown to depend on input signal parameters pointing to the requirement of adaptive optimization.
