Abstract :
Aimed at a rotary lime kiln with five-channel burner, numerical simulation of coal and natural gas co-combustion was carried out to predict the velocity field and the temperature field. The work is based on a lot of models, among which k-¿ two-equation model and discrete phase model were adopted to describe the gaseous phase and the discrete phase, respectively; non-premixed model was adopted to describe the combustion; PI radiation model was adopted to describe the radiation. The numerical simulation results show that: along the length of the kiln, both the velocity field and the temperature field undergo a transformation course from the bimodal distribution to the unimodal distribution and then to the uniform distribution. Co-combustion flame performs a wooden club shape and the space close to the kiln head is fully utilized, which is benefit for the production.
