Abstract
This work demonstrates random laser upconversion from Nd3+ doped fluoroindate glass powder which exhibits efficient emission in the ultraviolet spectrum. The anti-Stokes emission is achieved by resonant two-photon absorption excited by a pulsed laser. Finally, a large reduction in the decay time is also observed due to optical amplification along the light emitted random pathway.
