Abstract
In this paper we address the problem of motion and structure from uncalibrated monocular images, up to a scale factor. Because a self-calibration is essentially a motion estimation, the epipolar constraint plays an important role in the study. We propose a novel approach based on numerical optimization, which requires only three independent image views. Some experimental results are presented, showing its effectiveness
