Abstract :
We have studied a small size wind power generating system which uses the SRM as a SRG (Switched Reluctance Generator). In the previous study, we proposed a MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) method by controlled exciting current using a magnetization curve. In this paper, a configuration of the small size wind power generating system using the SRG, the generation principle, the experimental set up and results and the generator model are presented. Now, since output power is varied by exciting current and load, we propose a MPPT method by controlled both exciting current and load. And we show getting better power than previous method by experimental result. Also, to analyze output characteristics of the SRG, we propose simple generator model that can be useful to analyze at only circuit simulator by approximating the magnetic characteristics. And we show validity of proposed generation model by according waveforms of simulation result and experimental result.
