Abstract :
A method is developed for digital demodulation of amplitude modulated (AM) signal based on Haar wavelet decomposition. Firstly, by decomposing AM signal by Haar wavelet, the basis of the algorithm is founded. Secondly, coefficient expressions of approximate signal and detail signal of carrier by ¿ th decomposition is proved. By analyzing the coefficient expressions, the principle and effective condition of the algorithm is demonstrated. In the end, computer simulation in different SNR conditions is carried out. Comparing the simulation results of wavelet-based algorithm with the results of digital orthogonal demodulation algorithm, the performance of this method is summarized.
