Abstract
The design and performance of a multifrequency antenna for a deep space mission are presented. The 4m reflector in a Cassegrain centered configuration operates simultaneously at S, X, Ku and Ka band and includes an FSS sub-reflector. The predictions are complicated by several blocking structures inside the main reflector dish. Attention is focused on the antenna design aspects in a complex electromagnetic environment and on the relative antenna modeling that requires advanced design tools currently under development
