Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. The author provides a macro overview of the quality sciences, a summary of the status of the total quality management (TQM) movement in the United States, and prescriptions for achieving a technology-oriented quality management culture in the 1990s and beyond. United States aerospace and Mexican service organizations were surveyed on quality management needs using the Crawford ship method. The results of that bilingual database are included as a two-country benchmarking case study on perceptions of professionals on quality management needs for the future
