Abstract
In this study, we take main city zone, Tianjin for example. Residential land and farmland is extracted based on MSS image in 1984 and TM image in 2011. And two data are analyzed using spatial modeling technology. The interactive change for 27 years is obtained. The results show that the area of residential land increases from 37.70×103 hm2 to 85.83×103 hm2, and the area of farmland decreases from 153.45×103 hm2 to 98.57×103 hm2. Among them, there is 5.76×103 hm2 residential land which converts into farmland, 50.84×103 hm2 farmland converts into residential land. This study can offer decision basis for making sustainable development of land in urbanized regions.
