Abstract
A 150 kHz Direct Reading ADCP was mounted in an ENDECO CPV-FIN and extensively field tested in the Southern California Bight. Results showed that, at cruising speeds of research vessels, this towed body provides a very stable and low-noise platform for making ADCP measurements. Data quality was of equal or superior quality to what is collected with vessel-mounted ADCPs
