Abstract
VHDL-AMS allows designers to use any level of abstraction to model objects (Herve). We present a model of a parallel optical modules in accordance with the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) specifications. Users can use it to plan performances of optical links between boards and cabinets. This approach allows the virtual prototyping of global systems.
