Abstract
Microstructured optical fiber couplers are proposed that operate by resonant rather than proximity energy transfer via transverse waveguides and resonator arrays in a fiber cross-section, allowing significant inter-fiber separations, eliminating inter-core crosstalk by proximity coupling.
