Abstract
Nanosecond pulses are generated in electrical system in commutation processes. Pulses can lead to malfunction of electronic equipment. Amplitude and duration of pulses on the equipment depend on propagation in power cables. The change of cable height above the ground leads to the change of wave impedance for common mode propagation. Ends of cables have the part with higher wave impedance. Calculation of pulse propagation in the cable line with nonuniform parameters is given in the paper
