Abstract :
A sine wave, low cost high performance transistorized inverter for the 1 to 6 KVA range was developed and is now being manufactured for comunications and telemetry equipment as well as minicomputers. The design was oriented to the use of easily available components while keeping up reliability and performance. Design criteria for power and control stages are discussed and outcome of enviromental, mechanical and electrical test are listed. Actual experience shows that designing inverter for transistorized output stages turn out performances that compare favourably to higher price larger size SCR inverters.
